These materials will allow students to control their learning atmosphere using Alexa lights and classroom decorations. Instead of using those bright, fluorescent lights during learning, students will be able to utilize lamps with Alexa-controlled light bulbs to set the color/mood of their learning area. Color-coded lights can help with classroom management, too! These color-coded lights will also serve as "learning stations." For example, all visual learners please report to the blue light for class today). Students will also be able to ask for help in a large classroom by using a "red" light. I have also added an Alexa echo-dot for appropriate student music selection, smart plugs to control each lamp, stars to hang from the ceilings for self-care reflection times, as well as pens, highlighters, and pencils for students who may need supplies.
