One of the most thrilling things about teaching is getting to know your students and how they learn best! That is why I am interested in raising funds to provide a set of 5 tablets and a set of headphones for my classroom. The products that I have selected will allow me to reach my students in multiple ways. The thing that I am most excited for is the opportunity for my students to create their own digital content to express what they learned. Whether it be through making their own movies, taking pictures or recording their voices to better express their own ideas. I have a lot of struggling students and English Language Learners in my classroom. In my teaching my career I have learned that just because a student cannot express their ideas in writing does not mean that they are not proficient in a topic. Therefore acquiring digital tools will help me directly tackle on my classroom goals which is to provide as many resources as possible to my students when it comes to expressing to me what they've learned and taking ownership in their learning. An added benefit to tablets is that they will have opportunities to engage in interactive learning experiences, what's better than learning and having fun?
