Our classroom is in need of a set of new microscopes! We use them in many lab activities and also to help view and understand microscopic molecules and their structures. Digital microscopes can be hooked into any smartphone or device and are a more cost efficient way to give every student experience with laboratory equipment and observing small structures and processes. These microscopes will help us to better understand cellular structures, cell transport, cell division (meiosis and mitosis), biomolecules and the structure of genetic material (DNA, RNA), photosynthesis, and cellular respiration. We can also observe various tissues, organelles, and biological processes in action.
