My students are 6 - 8th graders from New York City. They are attending a public, Title I school, and almost all are receiving free or reduced lunches. They are full of curiosity and wonder. In my classroom we use technology and problem solving as a means to integrate core subject areas as we work through the design cycle in a meaningful way. I am looking forward to using the new maker space I've been building in our STEMa (the a is for ART!) elective course. It's been a few years in the making and I couldn't be more excited!
