These books will continue to help foster the love of reading that the students in my school have. Restocking the library is part of a larger project that my students in the 3rd and 4th grade undertook to redesign the school library. They want to create a library that fosters collaboration, is aesthetically pleasing and encourages all students to cuddle up with a good book. Their enthusiasm to remodel the library has given me the energy to pursue several avenues to breathe life into this project! These books will not only provide all students with a variety of choices that they will enjoy but will also reiterate the power they have to dream about a library that is rich with books. One of the best ways to create well-rounded students is to give them access to books and these books were all chosen with the students in mind. This project will enrich their lives by making them better readers and better people. And it will empower them to continue to dream big. Through bake sales and selling ice creams, the students already raised about $2000 towards the remodeling of the library.
