Students will use a 3-D printer to recreate an atom and then develop their own models of the atom. Some will make a Rutherford model, others a Bohr Model and others a quantum model. They will then compare the similarities and differences between and decide the best fit. After this, they will present their models and go through a peer review. I feel that this is what will enhance their critical thinking and, in a sense, to absorb critique from peers. I feel that they need to understand that no one is 100% right or 100% wrong and to learn how to express their opinions so that others can improve while listening to others so that they themselves may improve.
