Not only have my students put their full passion into the Birds Across Borders project, but they wrote an abstract, submitted it to a professional conference (American Ornithological Society), and had it accepted! This on its own is an incredible accomplishment for high school students and is providing an invaluable professional opportunity for them; an opportunity I don't want them to miss due to financial costs. By helping my students present a poster at a professional conference, you are not only giving them an incredible boost in confidence and their career, but helping them expand the mission of Birds Across Borders to connect, unify, and affect students globally. These students are committed to uniting school curriculum, students around the world, and professionals using a common focal point: birds. Where better to expand on their vision than at a professional conference with some of the biggest names and organizations in Ornithology? Thank you for considering this project and helping my students continue to accomplish amazing things.
