This year, I will be creating more individualized or personalized learning experiences for my students. This student-centered approach to teaching and learning not only enriches and deepens students' learning, but helps to prepare them to meet the demands of and engage in a 21st century society. One critical component of this approach is the use of technology. Donations to this project will be used to purchase Chromebooks and other digital devices for our classroom's Discovery Station. The use of Chromebooks and other digital devices, will help me to better leverage student interest and engagement while harnessing the power of technology. Students will be able to investigate and solve problems, conduct research, collaborate on projects, and create presentations. In the end, students will have more choice in how they access content and express what they know and understand.
