The whiteboard tables will be used to help my wide range of English Learners feel confident about the writing process. The tables will serve as an integral piece for my writing lessons with the students. I will have students to collaborate together in groups while simultaneously using the table to facilitate the writing process. For an example, students will independently answer discussion questions and then after a certain amount of time will compare their responses to group members. All materials, including whiteboard markers, pencil sharpeners and cleaning solution, would be used to assist with the writing process/transference of thoughts to paper. I want my students to feel comfortable making and acknowledging their mistakes when it comes to the writing process. My students are hesitant about their writing, there are many times they just give up and complain. I want them empowered to strive beyond their current skill set with writing and reach a more advanced level. They deserve the best equipment and materials for their American education.
