American society is shifting everyday towards a greater focus on technology. However, this shift is not as readily apparent in the classroom as it should be. Our goal as educators is to prepare our students for their futures in American society, yet we are held back by limited access to contemporary technology; hamstrung by equipment like aging computers that can be over a decade old at times. I believe that we need to bring our classrooms closer to the modern age in order to properly prepare our students for the future, and an obvious starting point is providing students with what Americans now see as a ubiquitous commodity: working computers.

About my class
