My wonderful and resilient 1st grade students get bused in from their low socioeconomic neighborhood in Marin County every day; unfortunately, they don't have a choice. Their neighborhood school can't accommodate them. 98% of the students qualify for free lunch and are predominantly second language learners. I aspire to be a better teacher everyday for these emotionally rich kids. Please support me in my efforts. "When educators believe students are competent, they tend to perform better." I believe!
