As most of my project are books, I plan to use these books to open up age-appropriate conversation about being understanding of different experiences and different backgrounds. I want my students to be able to leave the Squad with the mindset to keep constantly learning new things and new perspectives. So often, people can get stuck in a rut about their understandings of others; I'm hoping that we can learn from each other's experiences. That way, as we all grow older, we can all expand our mindsets. Creating a safe class community (even digitally!) is of utmost importance to me.

About my class
