Teachers are constantly faced with the challenge of competing with technology. My students would benefit from flexible seating options while they work, using books, chart paper, markers or whatever accessories necessary to make learning fun and engaging. The students will use these resources all throughout the day. They may pull up a laptop for research stations, typing projects or publishing writing while sitting on something other than a chair. They will be able to stay on task for longer periods of time because they will be able to focus on the task at hand, rather than worry about how long they have been sitting in a chair. These resources will help me as a teacher differentiate my learners. I would be able to help support a variety of academic abilities through small groups as needed.
