My students start with me in 6th grade and usually have me twice before moving on to high school. All of my students want to increase their reading level, but not at the expense or being seen reading a "baby" book. Boys don't want to read, but they should! I want to provide enough high interest books that will get their attention and make them want to read. This project will go a long way in building reading skills along with confidence in reading. Looks are important at this age level. I want my students to read and feel proud of the accomplishments they make.
