Table tubs will provide hands on experiences for students to work collaboratively each morning when they arrive to school. Each tub will be clearly labeled and rotated to different tables throughout the week. Tubs will consist of STEAM activities to promote problem solving and critical thinking skills among groups of students. I have always had students start their day with independent seat work, but with the rise in need for social emotional learning, I feel that interactive tubs are a better way to start each day. Table tubs will give my students a positive, educational, and interactive activity to start each day with. In addition to learning social and problem solving skills, this hands on activity will provide students the opportunity to "reset" if their morning has been hectic before arriving to school. I would appreciate your help in giving my students the experience of using unique STEAM activities so they may develop these important life skills.
