The snacks that I am requesting will enhance students' education experience in a multitude of ways. Many of my students come from homes with low income or poverty. Students who do not know where their next meal will come from enter the classroom with anxiety and hunger. These feelings often appear through displaying anger or non-compliance. By having a wide variety of snacks available, I will be able to create a safe space where students feel comfortable explaining their dietary situations. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement. By purchasing a variety of snacks I will be able to remove the negative impact of an empty stomach in the classroom so that students can be successful. “A hungry man is not a free man.” Adlai E.
