Our current classroom is equipped with computers that cover basic digital art needs, but we are heavily lacking hardware required for a wide number of industry standards both old and new. The requested equipment for this project would help facilitate learning and experience within an extremely wide number of career opportunities for all of my students in the fields of film production, virtual reality, animation, game development, fine art, architecture, automotive, simulation, software design, and more. The Gaming Desktop PC, a powerful graphics processing computer, will help my students be able to create highly realistic environments and renderings for their animations' and films' special effects as well as help them construct high quality production ready real-time virtual reality experiences. This will also help speed up the development process for their animations, films, and renderings across all projects present and future. The Oculus Quest 2 headsets will allow students to first hand experience creating virtual reality experiences using their skills in film, game design, animation, and interactive art. With two units students will also be able to create unique shared virtual experiences shared between each headset. The iPad will allow students to film using virtual production techniques (lookup 'Mandalorian Special Effects') by pairing it with the Gaming Desktop PC and using the iPad as a virtual camera in a 3D rendered digital space. This will pair well with the classroom's basic green screen and lighting that is already setup. With this equipment students will be able to share their diverse perspectives and passions from their personal creations with little to no restraints; Help make this amazing opportunity happen!
