I am a co-teacher in two second grade inclusion classes at a title one school rural setting. My students vary from culturally economically deprived children to identified disabilities qualifying them for special education services. I want to purchase rich text for them to use instead of having only one copy of a book for them to share. I am seeking six to eight copies at different ability levels to accommodate reading abilities. It is exciting to hear the language and questions that develop from our students when they have access to quality enriching text, especially informational text for science. It is amazing to watch the transformation that takes place as their minds open from their low self esteem and poverty thinking to inquiry minds. It is a beautiful event!
