My students would love these simulations, but would also highly benefit from the problem solving skills that each of these coding games possess. In each kit the students are given a set of instructions or a problem that they need to be able to solve. They must weigh all options given and make a choice based on those observations. It could be a good choice or a bad choice. If it is a bad choice, they would have to be able to go back and fix it. They will progress through levels that continually get more difficult. The areas of logical reasoning and problem solving would be particularly helpful when working on each child's individual strengths and weaknesses. Since special education deals with the individual child, these "games" would be tailored to each child's specific needs. The strategies that could be attained through these game orientated activities may increase life-long learning for my students.
