My students attend a public elementary school that serves more than 900 children. About two hundred of them are refugees from fifteen countries around the world. Most of the students received free or reduced lunch. They enjoy simple pleasures. They get excited when a teacher brings popcorn at the end of a grading period to celebrate all their achievements. These are the kind of kids that if you care about them, they will persevere to reach their goals. They do all that just to make their teacher happy. My students think they can do everything. They love original lessons, hands-on activities, learning in different ways, but above everything, they enjoy technology.
