I teach students from one of the two most under-resourced communities in Dallas. As an accelerated learning campus, our scholars enjoy an extended school day which includes tutoring and enrichment activities. We even provide dinner. After an 11 hour day, many students express the desire to stay at school a little longer. I enjoy seeing our scholars excited about learning and the possibilities that follow. In my primary art classes, I want my students to dismiss the limitations they may feel in life or learning and engage with the materials in their own way. Process art is about thinking and self discovery. I am simply the guide.
