I work at a middle school in Florida where over 85% of the students receive free or reduced lunch. They do not come from wealth, and have very few experiences outside of their home or the classroom. Their neighborhood is about a 20 minute drive from the beach and many of them have never been there. They have big hearts and want to be successful. Supporting them with supplies and encouragement goes a long way toward that success.
