I teach at a public school in south Florida. I have a very diverse fourth grade class which consists consists of eleven boys and ten girls. Several of my students face challenges learning, there are several which are below level in reading and math. In Florida, writing in fourth grade is an area of concentration. For the first time in their educational careers, these fourth graders will be tested on their writing ability.
