I service the most wonderful group of Deaf and hard of hearing 3rd 4th and 5th graders on the planet. Every day in our inner city school you can hear these words resonate through the building "...I will not fail... I will lead... I will achieve... because Carver/Bruce Stars shine bright" and it is the truth. Despite all the obstacles my students are faced with, they all shine bright. But the lack of adequate resources makes they're even less accessible. With technology today Deafness is no longer a hinderance. The only thing my students can't do is HEAR.
