My students attend a Title I school and everyone receives free breakfast and lunch. My third graders come to school excited to learn anything and everything! Very few parents have a secondary education beyond high school; and due to cultural differences, we are constantly encouraging parents to take a more active role in the educational goals for their children. This makes it even more important on me as a teacher to make sure that these kids have the best education and learning environment that I can provide for them. I love how engaged they are in learning while using today's technology. Though many of them have difficulties reading they love literature and listening to stories. It's easier for my students to relate to a topic if they have something or someone to connect it to!
