A camera will document the leadership training, activities, and responsibilities that my ELL students will undergo to be a part of the ELL Leadership Team. Students will participate in team-building activities such as low ropes course, community service within the school and school district, as well as monthly meetings (weekly to ready for events) to learn leadership skills and develop their own leader voice. The goal is for these students is to build self-esteem, invest in their future (through public speaking activities and civic activities), promote their culture throughout the ISD, and gain experience in planning and promotion. Through activities such as ELL awareness newsletter creation, participation in UIL type events, and the Cinco de Mayo celebration at the end of the year these youth can have a voice in the school instead of being on the sidelines wishing for a part in the life of public school.
