When my students come into school it may be their only opportunity to figure out the English language, due to the high number of families in our school community that do not speak English. Many of my students are struggling to read and find it to be a boring task. With these supplies I will be able to provide my students hands-on activities and fun ways to learn how to read as well as deepen their understanding of reading. The instant center activities will provide reinforcement for skills learned in class. Sight words are one of the key things children need to read and write in order to be successful and these supplies will provide multiple ways to master these skills. They will also help master skills on figuring out new words. The sooner they begin to enjoy reading the sooner they will be able to be successful in reading. Reading is the key to a successful future.
