Flexible seating will enhance engagement and learning because my students will be able to choose where they would like to sit instead of sitting at a desk all day. Students need to be able to move as much as we like to move throughout the day. Sitting in a desk for hours on end can be exhausting and frustrating for my students. In my classroom, I will allow my students to have choice in where they will sit. For example, students will be able to choose from a regular chair, wobble chair, floor cushion, and exercise balls. Throughout the year students can change their seating choice if they choose to do so.
