My students are a combination of rural students and local neighborhood students who live near the school. This project would effect students in Grades 1-6 as they learn to play percussion but the larger ensemble concert will be for Sixth Grade students in my school. This is a public school will approximately 489 students that attend my classes in Grades 1-6. We are a Title I school and have several students who qualify for the free breakfast and lunch program. They are great students and eager to learn about music. My students know me well as this is my 15th year to teach them about Music around the world as we learn about many instruments and genre/styles of music in class and performance.
