My students are truly dedicated to being participants in a world that live up to their high expectations. Through using Google Drive on Chromebooks, my students would be given the distinct opportunity to collaboratively write, discuss, and research in ways that would allow them to change the world. We need to be able to learn together in order to learn at all. Chromebooks would allow us to take part in a participatory world where we can make change as a community, not just as individuals. My students are engaged, willing, and determined to be participants in an English class that will embrace their identity and guide them to be better thinkers, readers, and writers. I am constantly astounded by what my ninth grade students have to say critically about their world and these Chromebooks would allow those thoughts to move beyond our classroom walls.
