My students love creating and exploring. We do STEM bins each week and Legos are always a favorite. These Lego sets will help build my student's' spatial awareness which helps with letter and word recognition. These basic skills will benefit them in reading, math and science as they have fun at the same time. Many of them come from low-income families and don't have routine exposure to science and creative thinking opportunities outside of my classroom. These Lego sets also come with building cards to spark their ideas as they begin the journey to thinking like the scientists they are.
