At our school, my students are very lucky to receive nearly all of the supplies they need. However, in our math class, we do a lot of checking for understanding and showing our work on dry erase boards and posters, and we seem to run out of markers all the time! In addition, my students love to see positive notes and feedback written, and I think it's really important to do it in color. By receiving the materials, my students will be able to make their thinking visible - and colorful! They will also continue to build motivation and confidence when they receive feedback!
