With our campus writing initiative, these interactive notebooks allow me to seamlessly incorporate reading as well. I heard a Gretchen Bernabei quote "Reading and writing is like breathing." I interpreted that as reading is inhaling and writing is exhaling. This year I am challenging and encouraging my super sixth grade scholars to read and write daily. From Motivational Monday to Free-write FriYay... we are going to explore our minds and mentor texts! By providing our notebooks and other class materials, our lady leaders of the future will have the resources to take charge of their ELAR success!
