Welcome to our College & Career Readiness classroom! I’m honored to be stepping into the role as our school’s College & Career Instructor— and even more humbled to do so as the 2024–2025 Teacher of the Year, a title I’m receiving for the first time after 8 years of teaching. This is the next step in my journey as an educator, and my goal is to create a space where students can take the next step in theirs.
This course is designed to help students explore and plan their futures with confidence—whether that means college, career, military service, trade school, or entrepreneurship.
Our classroom is a space where students build real-world skills: researching colleges, applying for scholarships, creating résumés, practicing interviews, exploring career pathways, and learning essential financial literacy.
Here, they find support, structure, and inspiration to envision a life full of purpose, not just a paycheck.
