Welcome to my classroom page! I am an English teacher at Laurel Middle-High School in Laurel, DE, where I have been teaching since 2013. In 2015, teachers and students moved into a new combined middle and high school. Laurel is a small, rural community in Sussex County, DE, near the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Our last census recorded our town's population at 3,912. With approximately 100 students per grade, and grades 5-12 now attending classes in our new building, our school is home to approximately 22% of the entire town for 8 hours a day, making it a community hub and source of essential services for the town as a whole.
