My students are full of variety. I have students from Southeast Asia, Central Asia, Africa, North America and Central America. Some have received excellent education where they came from, and others had interrupted or limited formal education (if any at all). Some have well-educated parents, and others do not. Some can read in their first language, and others never learned how. Some perceive themselves as being "at home" inside the academic culture of a school; other students have not yet started to think of themselves that way. One thing they do have in common - all of them need to continue improving their English language proficiency. And one of the best ways to contribute to their development is to contribute to the development of their teacher.
