Teacher-made materials are used on a daily basis with my students. Most of those materials are papers that are printed out and laminated for the students. As of right now we have been printing in black and white and laminating their class work. My students have moderate to severe disabilities and need to be able to see printed things in color. Having a color printer will help students be able to see printed teacher-made materials as real as possible. My students need to be able to see print-outs in color. They aren't also able to identify pictures when it is in black and white. For example, some of students have issues when identify pictures of fruits or familiar people/places in black and white. They can better discriminate and identify these things when it is printed in color.
