Sometimes we all just need a quiet moment to ourselves. In a busy classroom, this can sometimes be a bit difficult. I am working on creating a safe space where my students can choose to go to calm down, relax, or just be alone. Safe spaces give children a much needed outlet. Most children benefit from a quiet space, or a cozy corner where they can go when they are sad, when they need down time with a book, or simply need alone time. This is especially true for preschoolers who are learning to control their behaviors and emotions. The cozy cube will provide my students with a safe space where they can relax, and explore their emotions through the use of books and emotions mirrors.
