I would like to encourage life-long learning through technology. With the use of the ipads and headphones my students will have access to online games and curriculum based materials that will allow them to bridge the learning gaps that are inherent in coming to the United States. Please fund my project and give my students a fighting chance at a bright future. Some of my fifth grade bilingual students are reading at a first grade level and oftentimes, lower. This puts them at an extreme disadvantage when faced with the daunting task of keeping up with the fifth grade curriculum. Many of these students show great promise and an unrelenting will to learn.
