During yearbook, members learn to tell stories through pictures, so our goal is to be successful photojournalists. I would like for my staff to have confidence and be proud of the pictures they produce for their yearbook. This is not always possible with the point-and-shoot cameras we have now. Especially with such a young staff with little or no experience in photography. I want them to have more ownership of their yearbook by providing more high-quality images they have taken themselves. With this donation, my young, aspiring photographers can actually take more pictures that are "worthy" of being in their yearbook and no longer have to depend on me to be the main photographer. Canon is a durable brand that should last for several years, so this donation will help several staffs to come.
