We are in need of a teaching easel with a dry erase surface and a felt surface. This portable easel is an essential in a kindergarten class; it will be used daily to facilitate lessons for shared and interactive reading with big books , nursery rhymes, and poems. Students will participate and engage in hands on learning through shared readings; with the easel, they will be able to build reading strategies and skills, build their phonological and phonics skills, and build reading and sight word fluency. They will be able to use the felt board to build comprehension and thinking skills, as well as retell stories with excitement using felt puppets.

About my class
