Not only has the Corona Virus uprooted our norms, but racial tensions have also thrown the world as we know it into chaos. Yet, we see this time as an opportunity to teach our students about diversity and inclusion. The books that have been selected are high quality literature which we can read and study through distance learning using our technology. Students need to experience good literature whether in school or learning at home. My intent is to provide opportunities to learn more about ourselves and others to make our world a more harmonious place to live and learn. Students need to recognize themselves in others. Quality literature does just that.
