My students are some of the most AMAZING humans I have ever met. They are resilient, creative, and are able to adapt to anything. Despite facing so many challenges and tragedies in their personal lives, they all possess untapped talents such as resourcefullness and determination. Some of the things they say make you stop and think why you never considered that before! I'm trying my best to harness and nuture these skills to try and help empower them to overcome obstacles and succeed academically. My students are sometimes intimidated by schools who have more resources available to them, so I am trying my best to find opportunites for them to showcase their abilities and get a confidence boost! It is my mission every year to teach them that success is not soley defined by resources but by dedication, hard work, and a commitment to learning. My students WANT to learn and that is one of my favorite things about them :)
