Art is a crucial part of a child's development; it teaches them creativity and let's them explore their imaginations. I am requesting a heavy duty shelf to store our classroom's art supplies. Currently supplies are scattered in various storage spaces throughout the classroom and it is ineffective in providing a display for the children. Each compartment on the shelf will be home to a specific art material and will be organized into categories. This shelf will serve as a colorful and organized display that will allow the children to have access to their favorite materials while also teaching them organization skills, responsibility and accountability. We want our children to be proud and have ownership of the classroom that they walk into everyday, this shelf will be a first step in making that happen.
