I teach at a charter school with a wide variety of students at different ability levels. Our school strives for academic excellency, as stated in our mission statement. It is so important for us to be more hands-on in order to help students really understand the concepts that are expected for first graders to learn with the common core standards. We rotate classes everyday and I teach a different academic level for math and LA that are vastly different from each other.
