I teach ESL, English as a Second Language, in a high needs high school, grades 3-12. I have students from Mexico, Columbia, Haiti, and Dominican Republic, and because they have come from families with limited resources, many never had the opportunity to participate on a school field trip. For a typical school trip, parents would be asked to provide funds for their children. However, most of my students live in poverty, and their families are unable to reach into their own pockets. This field trip will help students realize their dreams of exploring and making personal connections to the world around them.We strive to provide our students with as many experiences as possible, regardless of their financial situations. Thank you for considering my ESL students. This would be an amazing adventure!
