My classroom is located in a Title 1 school within a small, tight-knit community. Most families operate on cash only, struggling to get from paycheck to paycheck. Multi-generational homes and filled with hard-working people that wish for a better future for their children. My students come to school for education, compassion, peer interaction, and, many times, a warm meal.
