As my students are from a low socioeconomic status community, their ability to access computers/technology is lacking. My students do not all have access to technology at home and in some cases, cannot complete our classwork. I would like to be able to have access to more computers so they can be doing their work in my class and enhance their engagement. Within my classroom, I would like to help them not only become more engaged using the computers and all that can be accessed through them, but also by giving them priceless computer skills they will need. I use multiple technologies within my classroom and many of those would include creating presentations as a group on Google Slides, typing scripts to skits they will be performing, creating propaganda examples and even typing journal entries as they learn about World War II so we can create a play. There are so many activities I would like to use to instruct my students but it means I need a reliable source of computers.
