Engagement is key! We do a variety of lab activities and projects that require materials, such as an earthquake shake table, materials to build models...etc. My science classes are not only inquiry-based but also incorporate an element of individualized learning. One of my courses is a hybrid course, in which students take ownership of their own learning, including going through presentations and watching videos or clips to further enhance content. Ideally, I would love to have technology to allow them the freedom to learn independently without interruptions or distractions from fellow classmates. I am hoping to have a class set of headphones that students may use to complete assignments that require them to listen and watch segments and analyze that information.
