I teach Current Events and AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) to the most amazing students around. I teach in an urban school district with a low income rate of 70% and a mobility rate of 31%. That means my students are unable to provide everyday supplies for themselves. I would like to provide my students the same opportunity as most to help bridge the achievement gap of highest poverty schools.
