    The new reading corner was a success! My students love sitting in the corner on my couches and reading a book. They love the new cart that we can push around the classroom and all the new books that I was able to get! They also love the new posters that are on the walls and the pillows to cuddle with!”

    They are thankful for pencils, pens, highlighters and even erasers that they can grab at anytime. I have students that come with a pass from another class to get a pencil because another teacher would not give them one.

  • Focused Note Taking Tools

    My students were so excited to open the boxes! They may not always like having to take lots of notes in class, even though it is good for them. So having new supplies really helped them! They love having colored options for taking notes in now instead of a pencil or pen. They were excited about the little sticky notes to use for reading and on their notes as side notes. I am very excited to introduce the card game that you so kindly donated for us. My students are really going to enjoy it! Thank you again for being kind.”

I teach in an urban school district with a low income rate of 70% and a mobility rate of 31%. That means my students are unable to provide everyday supplies for themselves. I would like to provide my students the same opportunity as most to help bridge the achievement gap of highest poverty schools.
