I consider myself lucky because I get to teach all of the students in my school. Our students range from 4K to 5th grade, and we also have two wonderful Autism spectrum classes, which are split by grade level. Though it is a small school, we have a lot of diversity which makes for a fun, well-rounded educational setting. The students hold a wide array of interests and hobbies. Each child has a distinct personality which really shines through in each work of art they create. I love watching them work and use creative problem solving to fit their own style and ideas into the artwork they are working on. I am so inspired every day watching them work. I personally feel that my students and I are very fortunate, because though we may not have a large budget, we have a school that shares my philosophy that each child has their own unique style and should be allowed to express that. Each child is taught the same techniques and materials, but are allowed to interpret it in their own way.
